What you will do

As a Graphic Designer at Alma Economics, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to addressing critical societal issues through effective visual communication. Your role is pivotal in developing visually engaging assets across a diverse array of projects. You will design and refine the visual aspects of publications, enhancing our ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. Additionally, you will contribute to the creation of compelling content for social media campaigns, websites, and webtools further extending our reach and impact.

You will also have the chance to assist with the visual communication support for our clients. Collaborating closely with researchers, data scientists, and other creatives, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your skills and contribute to significant international projects, helping us make a meaningful difference in various policy areas.

We are seeking a passionate Graphic Designer to join our team in Athens. Key responsibilities

  • Designing clean, professional proposals, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and consistency in publishing process.

  • Collaborating with researchers, data scientists, and other creatives to develop visual concepts that effectively communicate complex ideas.

  • Creating compelling infographics and visual assets for various mediums, including reports, newsletters, and social media platforms.

  • Contributing to various stages of the design process, from brainstorming and concept development to final delivery.

Requirements

  • A portfolio showcasing your creative and technical skills in graphic design, desktop publishing and typography, with a focus on clean, professional design aesthetics.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

  • Interest and/or experience in data visualisation techniques, such as creating infographics to visualise quantitative data.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages, especially Greek, are a plus but not required.

Working arrangements

Alma Economics is a friendly and informal place, and our offices are designed for both work and play. We enjoy working from the office as we foster a strong culture within modern and fun spaces, allowing for casual catch ups, mentoring, brainstorming and teambuilding.

We do not have a one-size-fits-all WfH policy. Most staff members work from home for one or two days during a typical week, while it is also possible to arrange to WfH for more extended periods (e.g., 2-4 weeks) to visit family or travel.

While most staff work 5-day weeks, for most full-time positions we also offer the option of a 4-day working week, either from day one or as an arrangement employees can transition into later in their Alma career.
